Maybe they could have it in Atlanta before the SEC champioship game. It would be like a JV game and then a Varsity.

Honistly weather the ACC wants there Championship game played somewhere warm Now if there was a dome avalable further north I am sure it would be considered plus IMHO I think when this whole thing was set up the thought was it would be FSU vs UM 4 out of 5 years
It would be hard at times, but why not even throw this out in the air. Don't decide on a place until the last couple of weeks (see what teams are in the running and who is most likely to go) coordinating it with a possibility of locations as you narrow down those locations as the season starts coming to an end.
They were expecting it to be fsu/miami in the game and that would have been perfect nearly exactly half-way between the two. When will the conference realize that there is a greater possibility that only one of these teams will make the game and even greater that neither will make the game and pick a better site. Hell they want to accomodate miami so bad they can't stand it and they have only been in the conference 3 years. The most ideal spot would be Charlotte but then you get them saying that area allready has the basketball tourny, well what's wrong with them having the football as well since it is the most centrally located place for the whole conference not just two schools that only one of which has ever even been in the game.
Had they been smart they would have put FSU and UM in the same divison. This way the two former powers could have both had a better shot at going to the BCS, but that will probably never happen now.
They thought that would be the yearly championship game I reckon.
Which would more than likely cost the ACC more money than it would make them in the long run.
Also explains why the championship is on a neutral field in Florida as well..
Rotate it, it pisses me off to no end the basketball tournament is held in North Carolina 90% of the time.
NC is where it should be all of the time..it's the central location.
